Accessibility:
Please note that the cottage can be accessed via two steps from the back deck. There is a short, moderately steep walk to the lake, approximately 150 footsteps, with 55 of them being slightly steep. While most guests find the path manageable, individuals with mobility issues may encounter difficulty. Along the way to the lake, there is a fire pit seating area and bench where guests can rest and enjoy the scenery.
Pets Policy:
The property is dog-friendly, with no additional charges for pets. However, guests are responsible for ensuring that their furry companions leave no trace behind. Any evidence of pets, including excessive shedding, damage, or the need for extra cleaning, will result in additional fees, starting at a minimum of $350. Well-behaved, well-groomed dogs weighing up to 50 pounds each are welcome, with a maximum of two dogs per stay. Aggressive dogs or those with a history of biting are not allowed. All pets must have current flea and tick treatment and be preapproved. Guests who bring their dogs are required to ensure that no evidence of their pets remains upon departure.
Refund Policy:
There will be NO refunds for changes in plans, weather, travel delays, illness, disturbances such as neighborhood pets, noise disturbances, minor oversights in cleaning, or smells. Additionally, refunds will not be provided for issues that are resolved within 1 business day of reporting. Guests are advised to consider purchasing travel insurance for added protection against unforeseen circumstances. Please note that we conduct a thorough deep clean prior to every stay to ensure the property is in pristine condition for our guests' enjoyment.
Notes:
Please be aware that bugs may be present due to the property's wooded location near the lake. While the property is regularly maintained, occasional bug sightings may occur, and no refunds will be given for this reason. Guests are encouraged to contact the manager if they observe multiple bugs. The area is also home to various wildlife species, and guests are asked not to disturb them or leave out garbage or food.
Dock Accessibility:
Please be aware that the Corps of Engineers control the lake levels, which may affect the accessibility of the dock. The dock is floating and subject to changes in water levels.
Security and Housekeeping:
The property features one exterior security camera located on the front door, facing outward toward the driveway. It records video and sound when motion is detected and will only record when motion is sensed. Stays longer than seven days will require housekeeping once every week for an additional fee.
We consider requests for early check-ins or late check-outs on a case-by-case basis. Approval for such requests is not guaranteed and must be arranged in advance to avoid conflicts with our cleaning schedules. Our dedicated housekeeping team prides itself on providing a clean, sanitized environment, and unexpected changes can significantly hinder their efforts. Therefore, guests without preapproved adjustments to check-in or check-out times will incur additional fees.
If the property is left in good condition, a 30-minute grace period will be granted after the scheduled check-out time. Should guests remain in the property beyond this grace period without prior approval, a late fee of $50 per 15-minute interval will be enforced. If the property is not in good condition, no grace period will be provided, and the late fee will apply immediately after the designated check-out time.
