THE SPACE
Upon entry to the unit door, you are welcomed to the vestibule with the bathroom to your right, washer/dryer to your left and the Master bedroom straight ahead.

If you walk further into the home, you are welcome to the Kitchen and living room. The kitchen is fully equipped (refridgerator, freezer, stove, oven, kettle, coffee maker, knife set, plates, bowls, kitchenware, silverware, and more). Within the kitchen is an enclosed in-unit washer/dryer.

The spacious living room contains comfy chairs and a futon. It's perfect for relaxing.

Summary: On the good side, the apartment was VERY clean when we arrived, so made for a very favourable introduction. The renovations were carefully thought out and executed – the place is attractive, the finishes are good, appliances are good quality – so kudos for that. It necessarily relies on window a/c units, ceiling fans and portable fans, so there is noise with that. Despite being a basement unit, it had good natural light on sunny days (which is most of the time in Florida). The bathroom was small but adequate. Overall, generally a comfortable place. The outside patio area is sizable and has a good mix of sun and shade, very pleasant space. Just bring your own chairs (which fortunately we did). We had a noise issue from upstairs the first night, and questions about a few things, to all of which the owners were very responsive. A major negative is that the listing says there is parking, but there isn’t. We were directed to park on the street. There is one street parking space immediately beside the house (on the side opposite to this apartment), but it is certainly not reserved. About 20-25% of the time, we had to park further up the street. In short, THERE IS NO ON-SITE PARKING FOR THIS UNIT. In this instance, the listing is misleading. There is no real dining area, just a small rectangular table with 2 stools. The stools have no backs, so are not very comfortable.
