Welcome to my adorable cottage nestled in the mountains of Sevierville. My home is located on 52 private acres and provides the ultimate secluded experience. Although it's totally private, you're still only:
25 minutes from downtown Sevierville
29 minutes to Dollywood
38 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg
41 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains
Mi casa, su casa. But there are some important thing you should know.
The home is a 5 bedroom, 2.5 bath + an attic that's been converted into a mini-theater room. The home is optimally maximized to sleep up to 8 adults and 2 children—a total of ten guests. We can squeeze 3 more people on the couches if y'all want to get super cozy :) The home is 3300 square feet, so there's plenty of space.
The master bedroom consists of a king-size memory foam bed. Bedroom 2 is a bedroom/office with a bed and desk for working. Bedroom 3 and 4 are equipped with queen size beds. Bed 5 is a nursery/playroom decked out with a toddler bed and crib, plus all the toys and books you'll ever need.
The home is located on its OWN private mountain. There are pluses and minuses to that. Okay, mostly pluses. But please note there is very limited cell phone reception.
No sweat though, as we do provide internet. (Read more about it down below.)
The living room, master bedroom and theater room all have 65-inch televisions equipped with Roku devices. The home is BYOL (bring your own login).
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire 52-acres. But please note that any hiking on the property is PRETTY intense and not for the faint of heart.
Other things to note
There could be bears on the property. I've never seen one, but it is very possible as we are in the heart of bear country.
Our internet is pretty good. Most of the time it's a reliable 40-60mbps (download) and 20mbps (upload). I lived here for a year and never really had too many issues. I would say it was 95% reliable. So you can definitely work from home at my cottage and Zoom with your co-workers pretty reliably. But please know that the internet has been known to temporarily cut out every so often. It happens.
My home has a very steep driveway. It's beautifully paved and no big deal when the climate is dry. If it snows, it can get a little trickier. You'd definitely want to shovel the driveway. I've provided shovels for you. Snow is rare in these parts, but it does happen every so often.
I live a little "out there." This is a secluded experience. This is not a walkable location. And the nearest store is like 15-20 mins away. Be ready for that. And please don't leave me a 4-star review because you didn't look at the map.
