'Artist Cottage' is located in the Village of Bar Harbor near the Town Pier, Town Beach, historic Shore Path walk, and the Museum in the Streets self guided walking tour. Built in 1948 the cottage has been lovingly restored and features the perfect blend of nostalgia with modern amenities. The cottage has private off street parking and is walkable to boating, shopping, dining and cultural activities. Bar Harbor is named for the "bar" to Bar Island which forms the "harbor". Bar Island, portrayed by David Maitland Armstrong in his late 1800's painting, 'The Bar, Bar Harbor', is a short walk from the cottage.
The king bedroom has a 42 inch tv and large attached full bath.
There is a spacious modern eat-in kitchen with Maine granite countertops including everything you need from wine glasses to garlic press! Relax after a day of hiking in leather recliners and enjoy a second tv with DVD player.. The second full bath is just off the living room. The "kids' room" has twin beds.
Check-in is 4 pm on Sunday afternoon. Check out is promptly at 10 am on the following Sunday allowing sufficient time to open doors and windows for airing out the unit and to property clean by State of Maine guidelines.
