Canyon Cliffside Cottage is a beautifully renovated, 1980s studio design cabin perched above Canyon Lake. The 700 square foot interior has been updated with the newest appliances and features to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The Cottage is perfectly equipped for maximum 4 guests wanting to relax, unwind, and get back to nature. This adults recommended getaway is nestled on a cliff overlooking the main channel of Canyon Lake, tucked away in nature. You could be pleasantly surprised to see and be visited by a variety of wildlife during your stay. Follow us @canyoncliffsidecottage on insta for daily pictures and updates.

The Cottage itself: Inside the Cottage is an open floor concept with king bed in the main living area. The living room area has a fully functioning office space and a 54" HDTV with Fire TV. There is one bathroom inside with a toilet, shower, and sink. The kitchen is a full size kitchen with everything you need to stay in and cook your own meal, and off the kitchen is a utility closet with full size washer and dryer. The twin bunk bed is located in a side room with a door for privacy. The main area has a minisplit unit for cooling and heating, while the bunk bed room has a separate wall unit to regulate the temperate. Fans are placed throughout to help with circulation. The floors throughout the main Cottage are original antique pine hardwood, tile in the bathroom, and laminate in the loft room. Due to leveling of the Cottage, the floors are slightly sloped in certain areas.

Outside Areas: The screen porch with ceiling fan is perfect to enjoy the outdoors without the Texas bugs. It has a dining table for 4, a L shaped outdoor lounging couch, and several other chairs to relax in. The upstairs sunset grill is the best place to catch the setting sun over Twin Sisters while grilling your dinner. The sunset grill is equipped with an electric grill, sink, prep area, barstools, and 4 person outdoor dining. One of our favorite amenities is the outdoor shower overlooking the lake. Completely private, you can watch the boaters during the day or stare at the stars while showering at night.

Lake Access: The Cottage is a lake front property. Guests can enjoy a private hiking path down to the water. The hike to the lake from the Cottage is about 200 yards. We recommend sturdy sandals or shoes for the hike, it can get steep and rocky in certain areas. The lake trail is maintained on a weekly basis, but please note due to natural elevation, weather, and wildlife use of the trail, there might be areas that have loose soil and rocks. Please stay on the marked trail.

Grotto: The Cottage property has a beautiful natural weeping grotto located off a side trail when hiking down to the lake. This is a natural weeping spring that keeps the area moist. When exploring the grotto, please stay in the designated area and do not climb the grotto walls. The Cottage grounds is listed as a natural Habitat and we strive to keep it as prestine as possible. Please also be on the lookout for wildlife. We have lots of wildlife families living in the area, especially in the grotto area. Please do not harass or harm any wildlife. Thank you.

Parking: 2 vehicle parallel parking on road. The main road can be narrow in spots, the 2 vehicle requirement is strictly enforced. We have included road and parking pictures in description for a better understanding.

• Full large bottles of shampoo, condition, and body wash in each shower
• Complimentary small bottles of shampoo, condition, body wash, lotion, makeup wipes, toothpaste, toothbrush, razor, shaving cream packet, ear plugs, and sleep masks (2 of each)
• Qtips and cotton balls
• First aide: bandaids, tylenol, advil, antiseptic ointment, bug spray

Supplies and amenities that stay on property:
• Portable fans located in the Cottage
• Variety of games, adult coloring books, and other activities to relax and stay in for the evening
• 2 yoga mats, 2 yoga blocks, 2 yoga straps, and 1 large roller
• 2 walking sticks for use on the lake trail
• Record player and records
• Extra bed linens and blankets
• Hair blow dryer

• Ice mule cooler for carrying canned beverages down property trail
• ikea and other plastic bags to carry your personal items down to the water

Water Activities: Canyon Lake is a popular destination for all sorts of watercraft. We encourage you to bring your kayaks or paddleboards, the boat ramp is just down the street. We just want to add, we have had guests bring vehicles with boat trailers before, but please contact me before booking and review listing photos for reference for parking a vehicle with a trailer. For guests hanging out at the beautiful beach below the Cottage, we have provided floats and life jackets for your convenience. Please note: The Cottage, all outdoor areas, parking, and trail are private property of the Cottage. Only guests with reservations for that time frame are allowed to use the facilities. The waterfront and beach, are not private property and owned by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Privacy at the waterfront is not guaranteed.

When you stay at the Cottage, you are only .3 miles from boat ramp 1, 4.6 miles to Overlook Park, 0.7 miles to the James C. Curry nature trail, 3.7 miles to Canyon Lake Gorge, 4.2 miles to Guadalupe River access trail, 3.9 miles to Whitewater Amphitheater, and less than 4 miles from tubing the Horseshoe on the Guadalupe River!

PLEASE READ:
Due to the location of the Cottage, the amount of steps, steep elevation and drops in areas, no railing along the lake trail, the lack of perimeter fencing, the amount of wildlife around the property, and other conditions, the cottage age policy is 13 and up and no pets.
