Summary: Our family of three (8 yr old and two adults) stayed here the week of hurricane Debby. We didn’t deal with any power outages or water issues from the hurricane. The large hotel between the beach and the cottage served as a protective barrier we were very grateful for. The host was easy to communicate with and very kind. The property was well managed and clean. Kitchen has sufficient cooking and serving/eating ware but lacks cutting boards, cooking oils and spices (v reasonable with beach weather) so be sure to bring your own. The location to the beach access is great and walking a mile in either direction you’ll find great restaurants (Freddies), food stores (The Veggie Wagon) and ice cream (although Celtic Creamery is worth the drive). There is a nice greenway, opposite the beach, that was great on super windy days. This is not a posh property- it’s everything we needed and expected at a price we could afford. So thankful to find that! All in all- we had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back!
