The space
The French Country Farmhouse Cottage is decorated with antiques. It is housed in the original structure for Cartwright Catering. After a successful catering business for 14 years, it closed and opened the existing Cottage. It is on a 200-acre working Century Farm. It sits in a beautiful valley surrounded by rolling hills, pasture and woods. This is a great place to unplug and relax. Enjoy the tranquility and sounds of living in the country.
You can enjoy cooking in a Chef’s Kitchen on a Thor 36” Professional Gas Range. It is the same kitchen that the catering business operated. It has been renovated to accommodate the perfect place to eat and sit around the antique kitchen table. Newly remodeled bedrooms are sure to meet your standards for a cozy, country upscale experience. You will sink into the 12” Zinus mattress and 2” mattress topper. Good night! Blackout curtains are throughout the cottage. Our bathroom has been remodeled with the vintage looking telephone faucet and hand held shower. The LED lighted Bathroom Mirror provides plenty of light. Two rooms still have the restored 3/4” poplar shiplap walls. Two rooms have white washed gray bead board walls. All rooms have original bead board ceilings. After you stay here you will say clean, clean, clean!
Guest access
Guests have access to the cottage and yard. For your safety of our guests and animals, permission is required to access the farm area across the creek. Most of the animals are friendly and will love meeting you with the hosts. Our country road is great for a relaxing walk or run. Caution is exercised because drivers get carried away with the beauty of the area and may not pay strict attention to pedestrians. There are lots of deer, so be careful driving at night. We are a farm and in the country you may see snakes, bugs etc. Please ask before you interact with the farm animals or set out for a hike on the farm. We cannot have folks roaming around due to liabilities.
