Welcome to our resort-like accommodations (5bd/3ba) on the south end of Lake Lanier! Lake Lanier has over 700 miles of shoreline spread over 38,000 acres! This is our personal vacation home and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. (Note: Property decorated during Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays including Christmas tree.)
The lake is just a short walk to our two docks where the water is deep, clear, and close to everything. A rare find on Lanier, the two docks ensure lots of privacy during your stay. The path to the main dock is lit at night and there are lights on the main dock. One dock is a fully enclosed “grandfathered” in dock. You don’t see many of these anymore and great for fishing! Grill or cook on your own or drive 10 minutes to nearby downtown Buford for great food and music. You can order Uber Eats, Doordash and Instacart. All which deliver straight to our doorstep.
You are a very short drive/boat ride from Lanier Islands/Margaritaville where you can golf or visit the water park. Rent a boat and/or jet skis at Holiday Marina or bring your own and tie up on the side of our dock (there is a boat ramp right across the cove at Lanier Harbor Marina). Our main dock is 24 feet long. Or just sit on the dock and enjoy the gorgeous sunsets on the two swings or provided chairs. You will have access to two kayaks (with backrests) and two paddle boards during your stay on our huge NO-WAKE cove. If Margaritaville is doing fireworks, you can see them from one of our docks. In the cooler months experience a 7 mile tour of light displays and other fun filled holiday attractions at "Magical Nights of Lights" and "Snow Island".
You will have access to over 3000 sq feet and wide-open space with lots of privacy and plenty of places to relax. Again, this is our personal home and our only rental, so we aim to provide a personal touch. Our permanent residence is only 18 minutes away, so if you have a special request, let us know! We would like to make your stay as special as possible.
Bedrooms:
-Bedroom1: King bedroom (main floor) - shared bath
-Bedroom 2: Queen bedroom (main floor) - shared bath
-Bedroom 3: Smaller Queen bedroom (Basement) - shared bath
-Bedroom 4: Large room with King bed and ensuite bathroom (Basement)
-Bedroom 5: Sunroom/Office/Twin over Full bunkbed (Basement) - shared bath. Curtains provided for complete privacy. PLEASE NOTE: This room does lead outside. A door safety knob will be provided, but please be aware when booking with small children.
-All bedrooms have white noise sound machines.
Main Floor:
-You will be greeted by a sunroom when you enter the home, that leads into our main living area with high ceilings, a kitchen/dining area, a large formal dining area, two seating areas and large picture windows overlooking the lake.
Basement:
-Living area with full surround sound and an indoor electric fireplace for those cool nights.
-Laundry room with brand new stacked washer/dryer
-Sit/stand desk up with two large monitors.
Outdoor Living:
-Main Floor Deck with furniture (covered when not in use), dining area, two grills and umbrellas (covered and closed when not in use)
- Under Deck- covered outdoor area with high-end seating where you can relax the day and night away.
- Gas Fireplace with seating for 4.
- There is also cornhole
4 of 5 bedrooms have their own TV, as well as TVs in the upstairs and downstairs living areas. All TVs have Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. The main living area and main bedroom TVs also have Hulu, HBO Max, Disney Plus, etc and Apple TVs. Feel free to use our accounts or our extensive Apple Movie Library (over 700 movies!) Just no purchases please!
For the music enthusiast, we have a Sonos sound system in many of the rooms in the house, including at the main dock.
Wi-Fi: 1 GB internet all the way to the dock.
Kitchen:
Fully stocked kitchen. If we don’t have what you need, just let us know!
Pets:
Two well-mannered house-trained dogs of any size (Sorry – no cats due to allergies). Unfortunately, we cannot allow Pit Bulls, Doberman Pinschers or Rottweilers on the property due to insurance liability. Please clean up after your pet and keep them on a leash in accordance with county laws.
Check-in: 3pm by door code / Check-out: 10am. If available, we will meet you there and show you around.
House Rules:
Parties/Events: Absolutely NO parties/Events. Please be respectful. Neighbors are close by, but very nice and keep to themselves. This is not a party house so please look elsewhere for a party house. Reasonable fun and noise is absolutely acceptable.
Security: Ring doorbell and security camera at dock for your added safety. We do not have cameras in the house.
Quiet hours: 10pm-7am.
Parking: No parking on the street as the street is narrow. Ample room for up to 4 large SUVs.
Wildlife: You may see our local wildlife wandering around. We have a variety of critters that love living near the water and woods too! Please do not disturb them. You may see cute box turtles. They are illegal to keep. Please leave them be!
Liability Waiver:
• The terrain on Lake Lanier ranges from gentle slope to very steep. The flatter the walk, the shallower the water. The walk to our docks is considered moderate sloping for this lake. My parents, both in their 70s, handle the walk just fine.
• Please be careful as it is a lake property with uneven surfaces, slope & steps. Negligence may cause a slip and fall, and care must be taken, especially with younger children.
• Also, you understand the potential dangers and risks associated with water activities, dock access and take appropriate safety precautions and assume responsibility for yourself and any consequences caused by your party. There is no lifeguard on duty so swim at your own risk.
• Children under 13 should wear a life jacket around the water. We provide life jackets but may not have them in every size.
