At the end of a private lane you will find our secluded magical compound -- step through the gate and the first reaction of a guest is "This is Shangri La" or "It's an oasis!" Two historic cigar roller cottages surround a unique square heated pool (not just a dipping pool) where you can lounge on a float gazing up at the palm trees above. A covered pool cabana is used as an outdoor living room on hot days or a festive cocktail spot at night. There are three outdoor living zones -- the pool cabana, the "star gazing garden" with a designer L shaped sofa around a sculptural gas firepit, and a dining garden with dinner table, bistro lights and a living green wall surrounding you to create an intimate dining zone. Or use this table in the daytime as your outdoor office, as the owner does! All this is literally steps out the back gate (behind the house) to the bustling seaport where the sunset cruises depart and Pepe's Cafe is around the corner for great breakfasts and fresh squeezed juice cocktails to go.
The interior living spaces were designed by a talented designer and beautiful fabrics, artwork and furniture will delight. The master bedroom/bath suite occupies the yellow cottage across the pool, and the other living spaces are in the pink cottage -- living room with French doors open to the pool, kitchen, sleeping loft with 3 twin beds, office with single bed, two full bathrooms. A favorite treat is an outdoor shower under the palm trees. A large backyard/gravel driveway has room for two cars and the back gate to the seaport.
A zillion restaurants are within walking distance or delivery. Rent your bike across the street at Eaton Bikes and go everywhere in town, even at night, on your bike –– it is magical! The Seaport with sunset cruises is one block away and lively Duval Street is a five minute walk/4 blocks away, but this home is hidden away from the hustle and bustle.
