Summary: We weren’t sure what to expect as the first guests at Jenny’s home, but we are pleased to report it was the perfect destination for a fun & relaxing family getaway! Jenny was a great host, responding promptly to all inquiries. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a kind note and a bottle of local wine! The cottage was charming, well designed, and immaculate. The furnishings were both stylish & comfortable. When we weren’t dining at one of many nearby restaurants, we found the kitchen well equipped for home cooking. We also enjoyed grilling on the deck, overlooking a beautifully landscaped yard with ample space for kids to run around. Our boys particularly enjoyed daily visits from the neighbors’ chickens who wandered over to greet us! The location of the cottage is also ideal. The home is well situated for visits to nearby farm stands, vineyards and all the quaint towns on the North Fork. Having said that, we spent most of our time at the nearby community beach. An easy walk from the house, the beach and its adjacent park are the ideal spot for kids to play and explore. Jenny provides beach chairs, towels, toys and even a wagon to transport them should you desire. Each day our kids enjoyed hours of fun in the sand and the calm waters of the Peconic. With only a few friendly neighbors sharing the beach, it truly felt like a private oasis. We had an amazing trip and highly recommend Jenny’s home! A note for families with young kids: the bathrooms only have showers, no tubs.
