This charming 1100sf cottage across from Bayou Davenport is our newest vacation rental in the greater Gulf Coast area. Central air, washer dryer, small fenced backyard, and a colorful coastal exterior are here to enhance your stay in this home just 3 minutes from the front gate of the Naval Air Station. Perfect for visiting family who are stationed on Pensacola NAS or for base contractors here temporarily (ask about our monthly rate).
The Dove Cottage sleeps 3-5 people and has a queen bed in the first bedroom, a twin bed in the second bedroom, a sofa in the laundry room (no sleeping here please) , and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. This 2BR/1BA non-smoking home is fully furnished with all linens and household goods.
Once in the area, make sure to check our Mr. Shark's, an eatery just down the street, as well as the Sunset Boat dock and launch about five minutes away where you can put in your kayak or canoe or just fish from the shoreline. If you bring your motor boat, there is room to put out there and it is easy access through The Pass to the Gulf or Pensacola Beach (plenty of room at the cottage for boat parking). Another great attraction near this vintage cottage is the National Air Museum and the free Blue Angels practices that take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays when the Blues are in town. For seafood, Chet's on Navy Blvd (open Thurs-Sat only) has been around a long, long time serving simple, wonderful fried seafood that you might think your Grandad cooked.
Just relaxing on the deck at home and watching the wildlife and the water scenes can be pretty awesome too. The backyard is great for letting the small kids run, building a bonfire, or playing frisbee when you have an afternoon off. Inside, cable tv and wireless internet provide fun on raindays. Be part of a typical, traditional Florida neighborhood for a few days. Sun, fish, walk, explore, and dine out to your heart's content. We are here to help you rest for awhile!
